While all of my regular studio classes center around curiosity and exploration, certain areas of the practice require a little more focus and time to unlock true progression and growth. The workshops below are some of my past and current offerings:
Yoga Stretchorama
2 Hours
A departure from the familiar "gentle stretch" offering, this upbeat flow takes you deep into opening! We explore new ways to use all our studio tools (props and even walls) to get the most out of our stretches. Hips, hamstrings, shoulders, heart, quads, side body, we stretch EVERYTHING you've got in this workshop. Leave feeling refreshed and renewed after ridding the body of pesky blocks and obstacles to healthy energy flow.
Step-By-Step Asana Workshop
4 Week Series
This 4 week series was designed with logical progression from week to week, but also to enable practitioners to drop in for individual weeks and focus areas if they prefer. Each week is sequenced to build towards several peak postures within the focus area with emphasis on alignment and efficiency of energy. We then learn how to integrate our new postures into typical vinyasa flow so that yogis can personalize their practice outside of the workshop space.
Step-by-step: Hips & Hamstrings
Week 1 of 4 // 2 Hours
Start off with a focused flow for the hips and hamstrings, and explore alternative deep stretches to open you up! Then break down variations of: Full Split, Compass, Flying Pigeon, Grasshopper, and more! Finish with a refreshed flow to integrate your new asanas into practice. Leave feeling the energetic and physical (low-back) relief that comes with hip and hamstring expansion!
Step-by-step: Binds & balances
Week 2 of 4 // 2 Hours
Start off with a focused flow to open and strengthen the shoulders, as well as stabilize the legs and core. Then break down variations of: Bird of Paradise, Standing Compass, Sugar Cane, Eight Limbs Pose and more! Finish with a refreshed flow to integrate your new asanas into practice. Leave feeling calm and centered on and off the mat!
step-by-step: Heart openers and backbends
Week 3 of 4 // 2 Hours
Start off with a focused flow to open the ENTIRE front of the body, as well as strengthen the back and core to protect the spine. Then break down variations of: Dancer, Wheel, Chin Stand, Royal Dancer, Royal Pigeon and more! Finish with a refreshed flow to integrate your new asanas into practice. Leave feeling energized, joyful, and confident in your ability to safely embrace backbends!
step-by-step: Inversions
Week 4 of 4 // 2 Hours
Start off with a focused flow to activate the wrists, shoulders, and core, find balance, and free the mind. Then break down variations of: Crow, Headstand, Handstand, Scorpion, Hollow Backs and more! Finish with a refreshed flow to integrate your new asanas into practice. Leave feeling brave, unstoppable, and free of ego and self-judgment :)
